Romantic movies have to be my all time favorite. Lifetime and Hallmark are probably my #1 television channels, but then there’s the big screen. A few of my all time favorites would have to be Grease, Ghosts, and most of the Jennifer Lopez films not to mention Sandra Bullock. The Wedding Planner and the Proposal I think I can recite by heart. 🙂  I think by now you must know that I am simply a hopeless romantic. 🙂

I grew up watching Grease. To this day, everytime I come across it, I stop to watch it. Endless memories come to mind every time, some good, some not so good, but all memorable. 🙂 This was the high school that I think we all wanted to attend and Sandy (Olivia Newton-John) and Danny (John Travolta) were that couple that everyone wanted to be. This will forever be my all time favorite.

ghost

Then there’s Ghost, another tear jerker yet a movie that I can watch time and time again. Even though the storyline behind this movie doesn’t have quite the happy ending we all look for in a romance, it is touching and very emotional. Give us ladies a reason to cry and we are there. 🙂 🙂 Sam Wheat (Patrick Swayze) and Molly Jensen (Demi Moore) as well as Whoopi outdid themselves in this film. Great job!!

WEDDING PLANNER - VERLIEBT, VERLOBT, VERPLANT

We now have the Wedding Planner. This movie is hilarious, touching and has that magical ending that we all dream of. Love, love Jennifer Lopez and Matt McConaughey in this film. No problem watching this one over and over again.

proposal

The Proposal is a phenomenal movie. Great actors and an awesome storyline. Laughed like crazy and loved the ending. It’s not nice to force someone into marriage, but if you can find that you have a heart in the process, I can make an exception. Margaret Tate (Sandra Bullock) and Andrew Paxton (Ryan Reynolds) as well as Betty White, outdid themselves in this movie.

the-vow

The Vow, in this film Paige (Rachel McAdams) and Leo (Channing Tatum) killed it. It is a sad movie because it is based on a true story, but it does have a pretty happy ending. Life happens and as long as we deal with it accordingly, we will be alright.

romantic

My Best Friend’s Wedding is another oldie but goodie. Julianne Potter (Julia Roberts), Kim (Cameron Diaz) and Michael O’Neal (Dermot Mulroney) play an outstanding role in this movie. It is funny, emotional, heartbreaking, and probably won’t  have the ending we all expect, however, definitely a must watch.

romantic

Maid in Manhattan, in this film Marisa Ventura (Jennifer Lopez) and Christopher Marshall (Ralph Fiennes), pair up for a dreamy night. The ending is beyond magical. You definitely need to see this one

And that will wrap up my top seven romantic movies for the hopeless romantic in you. 🙂
