Calithnetics according to Wikipedia, is a form of exercise consisting of a variety of movements. Said movements involve the exercise of large muscle groups, such as running, standing, grasping, and pushing. These exercises are often performed with minimal to no equipment.
Basically, they are exercises that do not require weights or machines and simply require the use of your bodyweight. I had never heard of the term calithnetics until just recently during an interview on my podcast.

Thanks to Arthur Lozovskiy, I was able to learn about the topic. I travel a lot for work so the fact that I could apply these types of exercises from my hotel room sounded great. I’m not a gym person and I don’t think I ever will be, so exercises of this sort is definitely what I need.
I was a runner, well not the greatest runner, but I did manage to complete four half marathons and six 5k runs. I started out not being able to run to the mailbox, and with time, practice, lots of patience, and the best coach and friends, I was able to conquer what had been a long time dream of mine.

Last May, 2018, I completed what would be my last run for a while. The Friday following said run, I was involved in a horrific car accident. Due to said accident, my running adventure came to a quick halt.
I pray for one day soon to be able to get back on the pavement and do what I learned to love. God knows why things happen, so I do accept it all in his glory. Until then, Calithnetics will have to satisfy said passion for running. Yoga is in my future, as well as the hope, to some day soon, once again be strong and fit.
We would love to hear about your experience with Calithnetics, running or any other sport. Please share your story, for the opportunity to be featured.
